There are some older planes that didn't even have a cockpit, like the Wright Flyer and the Santos-Dumont 14bis. With these biplanes, the pilot had to lie on the stomach with cables attached to their body to guide the plane. The Wright plane actually took flight a year before the Santos-Dumont, which never really got high enough off the ground to clear trees.
If you want an even more realistic experience you could purchase a joystick, yoke, or rudder pedals. With all these great features Flight pro Sim offers, it is no wonder it is considered to be the number one in flight simulators. Each flight is certainly unique and differant.

I highly recommend you check out Flight Pro Sim if you are considering flight simulation .you will not be disapointed.flight pro sim
